Ghosts Beat Blue Sox, 8-3

It was a good time at The Graveyard, where fans came to watch the Irving Blue Sox and Casper Ghosts get after it.
Irving got a terrific performance from pitcher Joe Holland, but it wasn't enough to beat the Casper Ghosts. Casper won the The Graveyard contest, 8-3. Holland was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He came in in relief and pitched to 20 batters . Hildo van Doorn was the winning pitcher. Over 8 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 7 strikeouts.
The Ghosts grabbed the lead in the bottom of the first. With one out, Hjalmar Bisseling, who is tied for 6th in the SAA in home runs with 11, hit a 3-run home run off Ed Lake, putting Casper in front, 6-1. For Bisseling, it was his 11th home run of the season.
"We did a lot of things right," said Bisseling.
The Ghosts are now 28-44, while the Blue Sox fall to 29-43.
