The Irving Blue Sox topped the Casper Ghosts, 2-1, in USSL Double A action at The Graveyard. The player of the game was Irving pitcher and San Diego, California native Miguel Pérez. Pérez, now 7-6, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 10, walking 0, and allowing no earned runs. Bob Bolen was called on to finish, recording his 16th save.

It could have been a different outcome for Irving, had it not been for Nick McGhee, the 21-year old center fielder . McGhee contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fourth inning to put Irving up, 2-0.
