The Minnesota Loons beat the Akron Blimps, 12-7, at Loony Bin. Minnesota designated hitter José Arras earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. At 34-34, Minnesota is in 6th place in the Silver AA.

Tobias Valencia, who leads the SAA in home runs with 19, helped out the Minnesota cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the pinch hitter went 2 for 2 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Valencia.
