The Akron Blimps picked up a win at Goodyear Hanger Dome, knocking off the Lancaster Farmers, 6-4. On the mound for Akron was right-hander Wilson Alindogan, who played a pivotal role in the win. In 8 innings, Alindogan surrendered 9 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 0. He allowed 2 runs. Akron has now won 4 straight, while the Farmers have lost 3 in a row.
Pat Carter made an early impact for Akron when he stroked his 10th double of the season. The 2-run double, which came with two out in the bottom of the third, put the Blimps on top, 5-0.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Carter. "And not try to do too much."
