Ghosts Stick Whales with 5-3 Loss
|
The Casper Ghosts had to overcome a big game from Virginia Beach third baseman Kawenaula Alohalani to leave The Graveyard with a 5-3 victory. Alohalani was 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Tomás Mata went 6.1 innings for Casper to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with 3 earned runs. He scattered 6 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 7. His record improves to 1-5. At 21-29, the Ghosts find themselves in 8th place in the Silver AA.
Casper left fielder Blaine Callahan made his contribution to the Ghosts cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third inning. For the day, Callahan went 1-4.
