Victory Over Whales Takes Akron to 29-16
Akron Blimps starter Buzzy Grossman turned in a top-notch performance against the Virginia Beach Whales at Virginia Beach Grounds. The result was a win for the Blimps, 4-2. The Blimps have an impressive 29-16 record.

Akron needed the clutch hitting of Ernest Franks to notch the win. The left fielder hammered a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Blimps on top, 2-1. For the game, Franks had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Franks told the Akron Gazette. "Whatever it takes."
