Atlantic City starter Heath Brown pitched effectively against the Biloxi Shuckers at Sonics Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a 7-0 win. The 9th-place Shuckers have lost 6 consecutive games.

The Shuckers had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Sonics going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 21-year old catcher Raffaello Dichio came to the plate. Dichio hit a run-scoring double on a 0-2 changeup from Biloxi hurler Steve Perkins. It was Dichio's 10th double of the year.

"I thought we were prepared," Biloxi manager César Navejar said after the game. "I thought we'd be more competitive out there."
