Shing Li was instrumental in his team's 4-3 triumph over the Ottawa Nationals. The designated hitter went 2-2 with 2 home runs and 4 walks for the Northville Eclipse. Northville reliever Jason Gilbert was the winner. His record is now 4-1. Jim Maxwell took the loss. The third-place Eclipse have won 4 consecutive games.
It could have been a different outcome for Northville, had it not been for Elias den Blick, the 23-year old third baseman . den Blick contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put Northville up, 4-3.
