Victory Over Nationals Takes Richland to 61-34
|
Richland first baseman Jon Walker was instrumental in his team's 6-2 win over the Ottawa Nationals. Walker, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2034 draft, went 2-3 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Rails. The Rails have an impressive 61-34 record.
In the first inning, Walker had a grand slam home run for Richland. It was his 11th home run of the season and put the Rails on top, 5-0.
"Enjoyed this one," Walker told the Richland Citizen. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
