Bethesda wasted a solid 6.2-inning effort from starting pitcher Ken Richmond, losing to Billings, 2-1, at The Igloo. Billings reliever David Hodges got the win, raising his record to 3-0. Gregory Powers was tagged with the loss. Billings bumps their record to 44-48 with the win.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Billings pinch hitter Roberto Guerrero, facing Gregory Powers, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Polar Bears the 2-1 win.

"Runs were at a premium," said Billings manager Ronald Harmon.
