The Richland Rails defeated the Barton Springs Blues, 6-5, at Rails Ballpark today. Leading the charge for Richland was third baseman Ángel Saelices. He was 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2 times. Reliever Chris Sanders picked up the win. His record improves to 4-4. Bungay Osiman took the loss. Richland improves to 58-31 with the win. They lead their division by 3 games.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Richland trailing 5-4, Cheong-hun Kang hit a fastball from Bungay Osiman to left for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Rails had a walk-off win.
"I like the roll we're on," said Richland manager Fernando Mendoza.
