Victory Over Blues Takes Richland to 57-31
|
Richland Rails starter Ken Grant was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Barton Springs Blues, 3-1. Muoi Hoan converted his 18th save in 23 tries. Richland has now won 3 in a row.
Ronald Lithgoe had a big run-scoring double for the Rails in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Richland leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Brian Patterson and stroked the double to right-center. It was his 11th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rails ahead, 2-0.
Grant called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
