Levittown used a superb performance from starting pitcher Bernard Hewer to down the Louisiana Dragoons, 4-1. The winning pitcher was Hewer, now 1-0. He tossed 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 10. The save was credited to Jing-sheng Bian, his 1st.

The Dragoons had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Blue Dragons going into the bottom of the third inning. That changed quickly when the 19-year old third baseman Juan Amengual came to the plate. Amengual hit a run-scoring double on a full count fastball from Louisiana hurler Juan Valseca. It was Amengual's 3rd double of the year.

"Bernard had electric stuff," said Levittown manager William Smith.

Levittown, now 3-2, has gotten their season off to a good start.
