The Buffalo White Walkers got a superb performance from first baseman Eddie Sachs, but the Charleston Battery still won the game, 9-8. Sachs was named the player of the game despite the loss. He went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Charleston has now won 4 straight.

Charleston relied on the hitting of Alfonso López to pick up the win. The shortstop ripped a bases-clearing triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Battery on top, 9-8. For the game, López had 1 triple and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
