Bethesda center fielder Troy Clark had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 4-3, to Asheville at Atoms Field. Clark went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs. Poto Boldrini locked down his 1st save. Asheville is now 45-34.

Asheville used the timely hitting of Dan Olson to capture the win. The catcher socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Highlanders ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was an important one.

"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Asheville skipper William Franklin. "I can't complain."
