The Richland Rails topped the Asheville Highlanders, 5-2, in M3L Double A action at Rails Ballpark. The player of the game was Richland pitcher Chris Holmes. Jose Jovellanos converted his 6th save in 9 tries. Richland is now 50-26, 2½ games up in the Menard's AA.

Vinnie Nuyten put Richland in front, 4-0, when he took Geoffrey Washington downtown. His 3-run home run came with no one out in the bottom of the fourth. It was his 4th home run of the season.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Nuyten.
