Blues Get Past Tacoma for 6-5 Win
|
The Tacoma Fur Traders got a sterling performance from first baseman Buddy Patton, but the Blues still prevailed, 6-5. Patton was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Barton Springs bumps their record to 31-37 with the win.
The Blues were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when left fielder William Luna turned a full count fastball from Josip Primorac into a 2-run home run. The walk-off home run sent a roar through the crowd and gave Barton Springs a thrilling 6-5 win.
"I made some pitches when I had to," said Luna.
