Buffalo got a terrific game from catcher Akihiko Fujii. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Portland, 7-6. Fujii was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Portland is now 35-44. Buffalo is 49-30.

Portland took a 7-6 lead on Noah Bushby's 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Buffalo pitcher Suezo Amano in the bottom of the seventh.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Bushby said.
