Rails Suffer 8-5 Setback
The Billings Polar Bears bested the Richland Rails, 8-5, at The Igloo. Sam McConnell was named player of the game. He went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The win was Larry McFadden's in relief. His record improves to 6-4. Zuo-lin Liang took the loss for Richland. With the win, Billings has a record of 23-27. Richland falls to 31-19.

McConnell contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Billings in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 4-1, McConnell took a fastball from Zuo-lin Liang and stroked the home run to left. His 5th home run of the season allowed the Polar Bears to leap in front, 5-4.

"Feels good to get the job done," McConnell said after the game.
