Shredders designated hitter Karl Blanke put his stamp on his team's 9-5 win over the Las Vegas Flamingos. Blanke went 3-4 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Hollywood in the contest. Joy-shan Men, who went 6.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 5 runs on 6 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 8. His record now stands at 2-0. Lloyd Natoff earned the save for Hollywood, his 1st of the year.

With Hollywood leading 3-1 in the top of the third, Blanke hit a fastball from Alan Halsall for a run-scoring triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Shredders ahead, 4-1.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Hollywood manager Bill Cheese.

With the win, Hollywood is 7-1.
