Randolph drives in 4 runs, Eclipse Move to 27-18
|
The 2040 season is getting ugly for Bethesda.
The Northville Eclipse beat the Bethesda Atoms, 9-0, at Old-Timers Park. The win was largely due to the efforts of shortstop Tony Randolph, who captured player of the game honors. He went 1 for 2 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Lance Farmer, the winner, improved to 6-1. He held the Atoms to no earned runs on 5 hits over 8.1 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 1.
Randolph made an early impact for Northville when he stroked his 7th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which came in the bottom of the second, put the Eclipse on top, 5-0.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Randolph.
Northville is now 27-18, while Bethesda is 15-30.
