Warriors Come Back Late to Clip Supernovas
The Warriors had to overcome a fine performance from Scranton pitcher Malcolm Bullard to grab a 4-2 win at Nuclear Stadium. Bullard allowed no earned runs over 8 innings. Forest City reliever Forest Bell picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Butch Cummings was saddled with the loss. Dewitt Clendaniel earned his 22nd save in 25 chances.

Forest City needed the clutch hitting of José Álvarez to notch the win. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Warriors on top, 2-1. For the game, Álvarez had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

Scranton manager Alfred Roberts said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.

The Supernovas, now 45-54, have lost 4 straight.
