The Barton Springs Blues got production from their entire lineup in an easy 14-1 win over the Asheville Highlanders. Player of the game honors went to center fielder Armando Viña. Viña went 4 for 5 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles. He scored 4 times and drove in 3. Barton Springs reliever Rutland Stones got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Sergio Tacuri was tagged with the loss. Barton Springs currently is in 5th place in the Menard's AA at 16-14.

The Blues grabbed the lead in the top of the ninth. With one out, Rafael Romero hit a 3-run home run off Michael White, putting Barton Springs in front, 12-1. For Romero, it was his 2nd home run of the season.
