Halberds Come Back Late to Top Lynx
|
Alloway Halberds starter Ralph Minor pitched a strong game against the Calgary Lynx at Lynx Stadium, leading the Halberds to a 3-1 win. Minor got the win, improving to 12-8. He allowed 4 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. Minor allowed 1 earned run. Chun-yeong Byung-Ho earned the save for Alloway, his 23rd.
The result might have been different for Alloway, had it not been for Bartolo Soto. The right fielder produced a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Halberds ahead, 2-1. For the game, Soto had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
