Fog Score Late to Upend Drummers, 4-3
|
Behind a solid performance from catcher Keohi Iese, the Sunset District Fog defeated the Tortolita Drummers, 4-3. Iese was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Fog. Their 47-50 record puts the Fog 6th in the Silver AAA.
Iese had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a full count cutter from Gojong Joseon, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Fog a 4-3 lead. It was the 8th home run of the year for Iese.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Tortolita manager Barrett Abbott. "The effort was great."
