The Alloway Halberds turned back the Forest City Warriors, 6-5, at Ballpark of Alloway. Dale Goodman was named player of the game for his fine performance. He was 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Bob Bolen was the winning pitcher. Over 7 innings, he allowed 5 runs on 4 hits, with 5 walks and 8 strikeouts. Chun-yeong Byung-Ho got the save, his 22nd in 26 chances.
Goodman had an important at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the seventh, when he hit a double. The Halberds went on to win.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Alloway manager Jack Clayton.
The Halberds improve their record to 51-45 with the win over Forest City.
