White Walkers Score Late to Upend Voodoo, 6-4
|
Buffalo and New Orleans duked it out at The Voodoo Lounge and the White Walkers came out victorious.
The Buffalo White Walkers had to overcome a big game from New Orleans first baseman Jorge Alejándrez to leave The Voodoo Lounge with a 6-4 victory. Alejándrez was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Buffalo reliever Suezo Amano picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Sjoerd Reynoud absorbed the loss.
Buffalo used the timely hitting of Lester Kwiatkowski to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the White Walkers ahead, 6-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was an important one.
Kwiatkowski told a Buffalo Citizen reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
Buffalo is now 4-4.
