The Brooklyn Dodgers did just enough to sneak past the Kingston Township Knights, 3-2, at Ebbetts Field. Brooklyn pitcher Elroy Thompkins earned player of the game honors. Thompkins picked up the win for Brooklyn, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 9 hits. He now sports a record of 7-5. The Dodgers sit in 7th place in the Third League with a record of 51-53.

Tony Wonder had a big 2-run home run for the Dodgers in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Brooklyn trailing 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a curveball from Chase Sims and stroked the home run to right-center. It was his 18th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Dodgers ahead, 3-2.

"We found a way to get it done," Wonder said.
