Evergreens Bang Out 9-4 Win Versus Greenville
Portland right fielder Fernando Soto was instrumental in his team's 9-4 win over the Greenville 84s. Soto, who is tied for 10th in the PL in triples with 3, went 2-5 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Evergreens. The 9th-place Evergreens now have a win-loss record of 31-38.

Portland used the bat of Surender Nada to capture the win. The pinch hitter jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Evergreens ahead, 5-4. It was his lone hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a dandy.

"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Nada told the Portland Herald.
