Knights Lose, 4-2, at Ebbetts Field
|
The Brooklyn Dodgers topped the Kingston Township Knights, 4-2, in Menard's Third League action at Ebbetts Field. The player of the game was Brooklyn pitcher and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma native Holden Rosen Grupp. Tom DeHart notched his 3rd save in 6 chances. Brooklyn now sits at 50-53, while Kingston Township falls to 46-57.
The game was at a stalemate until shortstop Quindarious Monday came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Kingston Township pitcher David Blake, he hit a 1-2 cutter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Brooklyn on top, 3-2.
"Holden Rosen was throwing free and easy," said Brooklyn manager Erock Genova.
