Pandas Solve Knights, 5-2
|
Montana and Kingston Township duked it out at Panda Park and the Pandas came out victorious.
Kingston Township got a terrific game from third baseman Scott Robertson. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Montana, 5-2. Robertson was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 2-2 with 2 home runs and a walk. The win puts the Pandas at 45-52, while the Knights drop to 43-54.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out in the bottom of the third inning. That's when first baseman Sergio Ortíz drew a walk. The Pandas went on to win.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Montana skipper Andrew Schupick.
