McCoy Slugs Knights to 9-1 Win
|
The Kingston Township Knights grabbed a 9-1 win over the Toledo Stingers at Pacesetter Park. Kingston Township left fielder Daniel McCoy was 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4 to earn player of the game honors. John Riggleman nailed down his 21st save. The Knights saw their win-loss record go to 43-53. At the same time, the Stingers fell to 49-47.
It could have been a different outcome for Kingston Township, had it not been for Jorge Ozezera, the 27-year old first baseman . Ozezera contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth inning to put Kingston Township up, 3-1.
"We'll keep our chins up and get ready for the next game," said losing manager TJ Reynolds.
