In a low-scoring clash between Panama City and Toledo, pitcher Neil Franson was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned player of the game honors for Panama City in the 3-2 win. The winner was Panama City reliever Jonathan Lentz, now 2-3. The loser was Adam Durango. The Piranhas go to 32-56, putting them last in the Third League.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Panama City right fielder Carsello Scruggins, facing Adam Durango, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Piranhas the 3-2 win.
"Our guys just had that look of determination," said winning manager Brian Talamante.
