Houston starter Robbie Betchley had a strong outing against the Panama City Piranhas at Houston Grounds. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 6-0 win. José Sipe, credited with the save, is now 1 for 1 in save opportunities. Houston is now 38-32, Panama City 27-43.

Bill Dixon had a big bases-clearing triple for the 1837 BBC in the bottom of the third inning. With Houston leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Javier Castillo and stroked the triple to right. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the 1837 BBC ahead, 4-0.

"Robbie was throwing strikes, locating well," said Houston manager Tyler Johnson.
