Rocketeers Fall Short, 7-6, at Brooklyn
|
The Brooklyn Dodgers knocked off the Seattle Rocketeers, 7-6, at Ebbetts Field. Jung-joon Yi, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Brooklyn won. The left fielder was 4 for 4 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Harrison Tuff was credited with the save for Brooklyn, his 5th of the season. Brooklyn is now 25-29, Seattle 27-27.
Fa-hsien Tze dealt the Rocketeers a blow in the bottom of the sixth. Batting with the bases loaded and Brooklyn leading 4-3, Tze, who is tied for 3rd in the 3L in stolen bases with 19, hit a first pitch cutter for a bases-clearing double.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Tze.
