Dodgers Bang Out 6-1 Win Versus Echo Park
|
The Brooklyn Dodgers defeated the Echo Park Lakers, 6-1, at Ebbetts Field. Brooklyn first baseman Aaron Day was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. After today's action, Brooklyn sits at 23-28, while Echo Park falls to 23-28.
With no one out in the bottom of the sixth, Tony Wonder barreled up a knuckle curve from Harvey Wyles. The result was a solo home run, putting the Dodgers in front, 3-1.
"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Wonder told the Brooklyn Daily.
