Late Rally by Stingers Seals 4th Straight Win
|
Stingers second baseman Shiki Sanu put his stamp on his team's 5-4 win over the Seattle Rocketeers. Sanu went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for Toledo in the contest. Earning his 11th save for Toledo was Austin Aries. The 6th-place Rocketeers have lost 4 straight games.
In the bottom of the 8th, third baseman Sze Qi gave Toledo the lead when he hit a 2-run triple. The Stingers had been trailing 4-3, but the two-out triple off Seattle pitcher Min-chor Chon changed that -- and Toledo went on to win.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Toledo manager TJ Reynolds.
