In a low-scoring affair between the Florida Men and the Hialeah Dodos, pitcher Walke Mehoff was the difference between victory and defeat. The Florida right-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-2 Men win. Reliever Marty McFly picked up the win. His record improves to 4-4. Wendell Drabek took the loss. Amadi Azagba was credited with the save for Florida, his 18th of the season.
Florida took a 3-2 lead on Jared Schneider's 20th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Schneider hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Hialeah pitcher Wendell Drabek shaking his head.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Mehoff said after the game.
The Men, at 38-45, sit in 8th place in the Silver AAA.
