The first-place Forest City Warriors picked up another win at League Park.

Forest City Warriors starter Ryunosuke Kurota was in fine form against the Vermont Lake Monsters at League Park, leading his team to a 4-3 win. Forest City reliever Thomas Careless picked up the win, upping his record to 8-2. Alfonso Hadalgo absorbed the loss.

Had Dale Epner not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Epner hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Warriors.

"I made some pitches when I had to," said Kurota.

Forest City improves to 53-30 with the win. They lead their division by 7˝ games.
