Dodos Come Back Late to Clip Halberds
|
Hialeah right fielder Juan Reyes was a significant contributor in his team's 5-3 triumph over the Alloway Halberds. He was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for Hialeah. Hialeah reliever Mark Garrett was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Chun-yeong Byung-Ho took the loss. Kenneth Ferrell earned the save, his 9th.
Hialeah used the timely hitting of Mulia Muljana to capture the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Dodos on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but he made it count.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Muljana told the Hialeah Citizen.
Hialeah goes to 28-50, Alloway to 39-39.
