Drummers Knock Off Lake Monsters at Drummers Ballpark

Tortolita and Vermont duked it out at Drummers Ballpark and the Drummers came out victorious.
Tortolita designated hitter Jin-yong Myung was a significant contributor in his team's 8-6 triumph over the Vermont Lake Monsters. He went 1-3 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for Tortolita. Will Hoffman earned the win for Tortolita. He lasted 6.1 innings, allowing 5 earned runs on 10 hits, while striking out 1. With the win, he raised his record to 4-2. Kabeya Kasongo nailed down his 12th save.
Myung had a key at-bat for Tortolita early in the game. With the bases loaded, he hit a grand slam home run. It was his 12th home run of the season and gave Tortolita an early 4-0 lead.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Myung told the Tortolita Chronicle.
Tortolita is now 40-33.
