Caffyn goes 3-for-4, Warriors Move to 40-25
|
The first-place Forest City Warriors welcomed Hialeah to League Park.
A 4-RBI performance from Roger Caffyn helped the Forest City Warriors beat the Hialeah Dodos, 10-6. Yan van der Meijden picked up the win, improving his season record to 7-2. He struck out 6 in 5.2 innings.
Dale Epner's at-bat in the bottom of the second inning was a big one for Forest City. Coming to bat with no one out, the bases loaded and Forest City trailing 3-2, the second baseman reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Epner.
Forest City has run its win streak to 4 in a row.
