Victory Over Supernovas Takes Forest City to 38-25
|
The Forest City Warriors topped the Scranton Supernovas by the score of 7-2, with the biggest share of the credit going to shortstop Axel Ruschmeyer. Ruschmeyer went 1-3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Warriors on the day. The Warriors, at 38-25, lead by one game in their division.
Forest City right fielder Spartak Gonjarov contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a curveball into center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 44th hit of the season and put the Warriors ahead, 3-2.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Forest City manager Ramón Pantoja.
