Dodos Come Back Late to Clip Men
|
Jesús Gómez was instrumental in his team's 6-4 triumph over the Florida Men. The second baseman was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times for the Hialeah Dodos. Hialeah reliever James McNeil got the win, raising his record to 1-2. José Barquero was tagged with the loss. Earning his 4th save of the year was Kenneth Ferrell.
Hialeah took a 6-4 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With one out, designated hitter Tae-gyoon Ch'oe hit a 3-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.
Gómez told a Hialeah Citizen reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
The Dodos improve their record to 19-35 with the win over Florida.
