Bob Sanders added some punch to the Memphis offense, helping them outmuscle the Sunset District Fog, 13-12. In the game, Sanders, who is tied for 2nd in the SAAA in stolen bases with 13, went 4-5 with 4 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times. The winner was Memphis reliever Juan Morán, now 2-1. The loser was John Guerra. António Moreno picked up the save, his 7th.

Memphis used the clutch hitting of Henry Madore to capture the win. The first baseman drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Redbirds ahead, 10-7. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"We found a way to get it done," Madore said.

The third-place Redbirds improved to 30-24.
