Alloway starter Peter Glenn pitched effectively against the Scranton Supernovas at Ballpark of Alloway. The right-hander led his team to a 5-3 win. Glenn picked up the win for Alloway, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 3-4. Chun-yeong Byung-Ho sewed up the save, his 8th.
Manuel Ramos had a big 2-run single for the Halberds in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Alloway leading 3-2 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from Malulani Anakone and stroked the single to left. It was his 1st hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Halberds ahead, 5-2.
"I made some pitches when I had to," said Glenn.
Alloway is 8th in the Silver AAA with a record of 22-27.
