The Calgary Lynx did just enough to sneak past the Tortolita Drummers, 4-3, at Lynx Stadium. Calgary left fielder Sergio Cruz earned player of the game honors. Calgary is 20-26 and Tortolita, with the loss, 23-23.

Cruz contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Calgary in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-2, Cruz took a cutter from Scott Thompson and stroked the home run to right. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Lynx to leap in front, 4-3.

"We found a way to get it done," Cruz said.
