Lake Monsters Fall Short, 6-5, at Scranton
|
Robby Sinor made an impact in the 6-5 Scranton win over Vermont. Sinor, who is tied for 2nd in the SAAA in stolen bases with 10, went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Magnus Belli, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 5th save. After today's action, Scranton sits at 22-23, while Vermont falls to 24-21.
Sinor contributed a big hit, a bases-clearing double, for Scranton in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 2-0, Sinor took a changeup from Maximiano Agostinho and stroked the double to left-center. His 12th double of the season allowed the Supernovas to leap in front, 3-2.
Sinor told the Scranton Herald: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
