The Florida Men grabbed a 10-2 win over the Hialeah Dodos at Psychos Ballpark. Florida designated hitter Jared Schneider went 4 for 4 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 5 to earn player of the game honors. Tim Sharp picked up the win, improving his season record to 4-2. He struck out 4 in 6.1 innings. The 'W' lifts Florida's record to 21-15.
Schneider contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Florida in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 1-0, Schneider took a slider from Pedro López and stroked the home run to right-center. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Men to leap in front, 2-1.
"We were firing on all cylinders today," said Men manager Joseph Fish.
