Carlos Garza left his imprint on the 6-4 Alloway win against the Forest City Warriors. Garza, who is tied for 10th in the SAAA in doubles with 9, was 3-6 with 3 doubles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Napoleon Vitagliano in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Oakland Scanlan took the loss. Picking up the save was Freddy Estrada, his 1st.

Garza had a game-changing double in the top of the 13th. On a first pitch fastball from Oakland Scanlan, he banged a 2-run double to right-center, giving the Halberds a 6-4 lead. It was the 9th double of the year for Garza.

"We're all smiles after that win," Garza told the Alloway Chronicle.
